My Eyes are the Windows to My Soul

Posted by Deelytz

Cliche. Oh well, I don’t have any ideas for a title so I end up typing that. Anyway, just ignore that a little bit but I will be posting about the eyes. I really don’t have dark circles under eyes and what I have are the excess baggage. Yes, I have eye bags and they are huge. That’s the problem I have with my eyes but that doesn’t bother me too much because I try to compensate by enhancing my eyes with products such as mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow which work pretty well. Lately, I’ve been trying to put on a little make up, subtle colors just to explore my options now that I am already 34. But then I noticed that my eyeshadow does not last long enough, it fades and creases sometimes so I bought this…

elf studio eye primer & liner sealer

ELF Eye Shadow Pirmer and Liner Sealer

Though my aim is just to use the primer, this product comes with the liner sealer which I have no idea is what for. :P

Eyeshadow primer is a cosmetic that is used to coat the eyelids prior to the application of eyeshadow so that the eyeshadow can be applied in a smooth, even layer and so that the eyeshadow will stay in place on the eyelid. Some people find that creases appear in their eyeshadow during the day. These creases are the result of movements of the eyelid that are the result of simply blinking and normal eye movements. Eyeshadow primer works to keep these creases from appearing and can also help to boost the vibrancy of the eyeshadow color.

Supplements for Me

Posted by Deelytz

I didn’t say that I am not a health freak before, I am aware of the nutrients and calories I take but you know, growing up from a family that adores food, it is very hard to avoid a yummy buffet table but when I became a mother, I see things in a different perspective. I hope to see my son grow up and see him with his own family and I wish to grow old with my husband so eating healthy, doing exercise and taking multivitamin for women for my age are now essentials to me. When I reached 32, I also noticed some pain in my lower back and ankle which prompted me to consider drinking High Calcium milk for my age, so now I am drinking Anlene once a day, usually I take it at night because my tummy doesn’t stand lactose very well and then I drink Caltrate Plus everyday for Calcium supplement. So far the pain is gone so I highly recommend multivitamins, milk and calcium supplement for women my age.

115 is Too Good to be True

Posted by Deelytz

Just early last year I am fighting with my weight of 128 lbs. I tried so hard dieting and exercising only to find myself going back to 128 lbs. and having 28 inches waistline, before the year ends I am 125 lbs. Then just this February we had our blood test and I got really scared that my cholesterol increased another notch so I promised myself to really change my lifestyle. Before getting in my program I weighed in the gym and recorded 123 lbs. and 27 inches waist. I started my strict diet last March 5. After 2 weeks of doing cardio regularly and eating right, I dropped 2 1/2 lbs. and happily read the weighing scale…

Progress: 2 1/2 lbs in 2 weeks. Not bad.

After a month of my continuous healthy eating, with 2 weeks of leave from doing exercise. I thought I gained weight so I weighed last week at home and was surprised that I am only 10 lbs away from my ideal weight of 105 lbs but I thought that it was too good to be true, 115 lbs. after a month with no exercise for 2 weeks is impossible so when I got back to the gym this week, the first thing I did was go on the scale and I knew 115 lbs. is unimgineable!

115 is too good to be true

I am now 117 lbs. still not my ideal weight but also not too far from my target weight. I am steadily dropping my pounds and I am doing it in my healthy way. My waist you want to ask? I am now 26 inches not bad from being a 28.  For those who are aiming to lose weight, nothing is impossible, we just need, DISCIPLINE. Good luck to us, I am hoping that by the end of this year, I am back to 105 lbs. and maybe 24 inches waist is not too far too?!? Who knows right?

Nanny is Going to College

Posted by Deelytz

This month started in the wrong foot and though my hopes are up there are certain issues that I want to address like my son’s nanny graduating from High School with honors and going to college. We promised her of sending her to college which we will do but since there are certain issues that are challenging our family these days, her taking information technology degree or any other 4 year degree for that matter might be delayed for 2 years but I told her that I am willing to enroll her to a vocational course first and then after 2 years she can decide if she wants to continue it to college when our son can go to school on his own and will not need a nanny. I want his nanny to stay with him while I’m at work because his nanny took care of him from 3 months old and I don’t want to hire a new nanny anymore. I hope and pray our plans will work for the welfare of our son and also for our son’s nanny.

Home Remedies for Sunburn

Posted by Deelytz

Summer is here and some of us will be hitting the beach or already enjoying the sea and sand. Most of us are already aware of sunblock and how important it is to apply it on your skin before it’s too late. Unfortunately, some are still ignorant about it and ending their vacation with a burnt skin. Let me give them home remedy tips to cure their sunburn.

Sunburn Face

Take 3 tablespoons of ground meals and mix it with half cup of yoghurt. Rub this mixture on over your neck and face. Wash it off after sometime.

Two teaspoons oatmeal and a drop of honey must be added to half cup ripe papaya. This mask must be applied and kept for 20 minutes, after which it can be washed off.

Mix honey and lime in 2;1 proportion and apply on affected area. It can be washed off in 20 minutes.

A pinch of turmeric must be added to yoghurt and must be applied on the face, neck and arms for half hour on a regular basis.

Cucumber and lime juice serve to cool and lighten sunburn. Therefore, they must be mixed in equal ratio and applied often.

For sunburn relief, a paste of turmeric, barley and yoghurt must be applied on the sunburned area.

Consuming raw mango juice that is mixed with sugar and salt serves as a cool, refreshing drink. It will help hydrate the system.

A lotion prepared from vinegar and olive oil must be rubbed on the body before a cool bath.

Applying a thin layer of sandalwood paste on the affected area can work wonders.

Aloe vera is known for its soothing properties, so some pure aloe vera gel must be applied on the sunburned area for relief.

Full Plate

I have a couple of unattended errands that I am not really looking forward to this week and next week, it’s not actually for payday loans but it is actually a bit private to discuss online. Anyway, I have a couple of tasks that I also need to do and I also want to finish my son’s birthday album for this year or there might be a possibility of me forgetting all about it! Thank God for the patients that I’ve been having at work, I got a couple of dispenses that adds up to my earnings and though not much, it is helping us. This month is not so good month for us but April is just starting and God is great, I have my hopes up!

Benefits of Water in the Body

Posted by Deelytz

I recently got a KOR One Hydrating Vessel that I can take anywhere to remind me that I should drink more water, I rarely drink water especially when I am out and I should and since I am trying to live a healthy life, I will add more water to my system. I didn’t know drinking water can help you lose weight? I am trying to lose weight as trying to lose my high levels of  cholesterol so yes, I promise to drink plenty of water! Thanks for this birthday gift, I can carry water in style!

Kor One HV

This is the KOR One in Orchid Pink. A birthday gift for me. This is just 750ML so I need to measure how many glasses it can fill because we need at least 8 glasses of water a day exceeding 8 will be much better!

Benefits of Drinking Water (and this is just the 11 of it, I’m sure there are more benefits that I didn’t post):

  1. Lose weight: Drinking water helps you lose weight because it flushes down the by-products of fat breakdown. Drinking water reduces hunger, it’s an effective appetite suppressant so you’ll eat less. Plus, water has zero calories. Here are the further details on how to achieve fat loss by drinking water.
  2. Natural Remedy for Headache: Helps to relieve headache and back pains due to dehydration. Although there are many other reasons contribute to headache, dehydration is the common one.
  3. Look Younger with Healthier Skin: You’ll look younger when your skin is properly hydrated. Water helps to replenish skin tissues, moisturizes skin and increase skin elasticity.
  4. Better Productivity at Work: Your brain is mostly made up of water, thus drinking water helps you think better, be more alert and more concentrate.
  5. Better Exercise: Drinking water regulates your body temperature. You’ll feel more energetic when doing exercises and water helps to fuel your muscle.
  6. Helps in Digestion and Constipation: Drinking water raises your metabolism because it helps in digestion. Fiber and water goes hand in hand so that you can have your daily bowel movement.
  7. Less Cramps and Sprains: Proper hydration helps keep your joints and muscles lubricated, so you’ll less likely get cramps and sprains.
  8. Less Likely to Get Sick and Feel Healthy: Drinking plenty of water helps fight against flu and other ailments like kidney stones and heart attack. Water adds with lemon is used for ailments like respiratory disease, intestinal problems, rheumatism and arthritis etc. Another words one of the benefits of drinking water can improve our immune system. Follow this link for further information on how lemon water can improve your health.
  9. Relieves Fatigue: Water is used by the body to help flush out toxins and waste products from the body. If your body lacks of water, your heart, for instance, need to work harder to pump out the oxygenated blood to all cells, so are the rest of the vital organs, your organs will be exhausted and so are you.
  10. Good Mood: Your body feels very good and that’s why you feel happy.
  11. Reduce the Risk of Cancer: Related to the digestive system, some studies show that drinking a healthy amount of water may reduce the risks of bladder cancer and colon cancer. Water dilutes the concentration of cancer-causing agents in the urine and shortens the time in which they are in contact with bladder lining.
