Post-Cleansing Day

Posted by Deelytz

All in all, I had light meals, just veggies and fish, if I can remember that right. I lost a pound and 1/2 inch to my waist and though I don’t feel any different, just the feeling of being cleansed, people said I had that tint of glow, I guess healthy diets, are known to give you that. Here is my after diet photo…

My eyebags obviously shrink a little, maybe fluid intake is indeed the solution to my genetically HUGE eyebags.

Will I ever do the JUJU Juice Cleanse again?

Most definitely! Next year, I am planning to do it in Holy Week.

Talk with Some Professionals

Posted by Deelytz

I had a talk with some colleagues here at work early this morning. We just came in from a long 4 day weekend and everybody was still in a holiday mood that we all felt lazy to get our butts to work and had this serious conversation about making our jobs important and performing it well since there are so much health care providers like us who are jobless right now and are in search for a very reputable Healthcare Specialists Jobs to support their lifestyle and their families.

I am very grateful of my job, though I have taken into consideration of quitting it, if the need arises like choosing between taking care of my son (for example his nanny leaves us) or my job, I will definitely choose the first over the latter. But as for now that the nanny is still with us and my parents help us in taking care of DS in situations where we had to stay a bit longer at work, I am so grateful that I have a less-stressful job at hand, that I can still do my online work while I am on the job. I can multitask, like being a mother attending short meetings or programs in school after asking permission to our very nice supervisor and then going back to the hospital and being an Optometrist again. Work is a struggle but I am grateful because I have work, I have something to help my husband support our little family. Thank you God.

The BIG JUJU Day

Posted by Deelytz

Sorry for the delay of posts, while the husband is busy with his auto wheels and bumper thingies, I am busy as a mom during our 4-day weekend so I have less access online, just using the iphone once in a while to keep me updated. Anyway, enough with the intro.

For fresh start, JUJU Juice advised to drink warm tea, Ms. Kat included a pack of mint leaves to add in your tea so I had lemon tea with mint leaves…

IMG_2877

After which, I went with my usual Saturday morning, feeding my son his breakfast while I put the 1st bottle of JUJU in front of me, psyching myself that I can gulp in that green stuff and so I did…

IMG_2881

Green Bomb. I love celery and definitely, this has celery in it, and there is that distinct powdery taste that I cannot really describe. This can be very hard to drink especially to people who hate veggies, but luckily, I love veggies so, even if this is not that awesome, it is very doable for me.

So you have to wait for 2 1/2 hrs. to drink the next bottle, at around 9:30, I got really hungry and I was feeling a bit dizzy, I dunno if this is psychological since I am used to skipping my breakfast but just to be sure that I can last the whole day, I ate a banana and 2 of these…

IMG_2886

And then at 10am, I drank the 2nd bottle…

IMG_2892

Spicy Limonada. A favorite of mine, I plan on making this as a substitute to my usual lemonade drink. It gave a kick with that cayenne pepper and I love how it made me feel very full.

In between, I am drinking water to help me feel fuller, so this also means, frequent trips to the loo.

VERY IMPORTANT ADVICE: Never go out while you’re on with the diet.

At around 12:30pm we left home to meet somebody at 2pm around South area so I just brought the juices that I needed for the day and put it in the JUJU bag with their ice pack and put more ice in a ziplock to make it cooler.

IMG_2864

Red Giant. We were in the car and were in a hurry to get out that I wasn’t able to savor the taste, but I like the taste of this one. Not really my fave, but can definitely grow on me, if only I had time to drink it real slow.

Still no hunger pangs. Still not getting dizzy and no headaches. But I brought bananas just in case.

IMG_2866

Alkazest. I drank this earlier because we had to go down again to our next stop and I don’t want to carry it in the mall. I love the taste of this one, my 3rd fave actually. I was a bit scared because I know this has coconut water and pineapple, just like the Green Bomb and I might need to do Number 2 in a public bathroom, but I am so happy that I didn’t need to.

The bad part is that, we were in the mall really late and I had to take the 5th bottle at 6pm and I was getting really hungry so when my boys decided to have dinner at Conti’s, I had to order this…

IMG_2901

My cheat. It has chicken and dressing. Oh my!

Then at around 8pm, I drank the 5th bottle which is the Green Bomb again, it was easier to gulp that time maybe because I kinda got used to its taste.

I was supposed to drink the last bottle at 8:30pm but I had to adjust the time and drank it at 10:30pm and this is my 2nd fave among the 5 drinks…

IMG_2872

Salaba’t Lemon. I always love the ginger tea I drink at The Spa (their usual ginger tea there), so this is a treat for me. I took it cold but I felt the heat in my tummy after drinking my first sip and I had a nice sleep after.

To all of you who wants to know if I had frequent trips to the loo to do Number 2, well, it all happened the next day, I did it 3 times, one in the morning, the other was after lunch and then the last one was in the evening. I felt really cleansed.

Being Careful During Pregnancy

Posted by Deelytz

I have a friend who is on the way and she is unaware of so many foods and medications that are not allowed for a pregnant woman. I had to give her some of my insights and experiences when I was pregnant. During my pregnancy, I have been aware of being careful of taking anything right away, usually I consult everything to my OB-Gyn and I sometimes research about medications before taking it. One of the dangers of taking anything without you knowing is the side effects. One example is Topamax, an anti-convulsant used to treat epileptic seizures in children and adults, and is also prescribed to prevent migraine headaches. Topamax can result in cleft lip or cleft palate – birth defects that occur when the lip or palate fail to completely fuse together. Great thing there are Austin personal injury attorney who can help in Topamax lawsuit where in a mother who has a child that suffered due to side effects can seek help from firms like At O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath, which has lawyers who understand that the child’s injuries may not be the mother’s fault – instead, possibly a dangerous side effect of Topamax. His Birthday Gift

Posted by Deelytz

My husband loves PC Games but we don’t have PC at home and he usually plays PC games at work when he doesn’t have anything to do which is not quite often that is why he misses playing most of the time so he usually uses my iphone to play sometimes but he gets tired of the small screen so I thought of giving him something nice on his birthday, something that I can afford with the help of a friend from Singapore. Anyway, I am just lucky that this offer came in the right time because next month is my husband’s birthday month. We got it last Saturday…

Pre-Cleanse Day

Posted by Deelytz

While I know for a fact that I will never fit into a school girl outfit because unlike before that I am very slim and slender, I am a mom now and no matter what I do, I will always have that post pregnancy figure that all mothers will understand. But as much as I would love to be 100 pounds again, losing a few more from my current weight is enough plus I am aiming for the detoxification part of this cleansing, not the losing weight part because a 1 day cleanse will not lose too much number.

As instructed by JUJU Cleanse in preparation for the cleansing day itself, I will have to observe the following:

Reduce your intake of the following to prepare your body:

  1. Animal protein and processed foods
  2. Salt, refined sugar and carbs
  3. Carbonated sodas, and other caffeinated drinks
  4. Alcohol and nicotine

Recommend that you increase your intake of:

  1. Water or herbal teas
  2. Fruit and vegetables
  3. Sleep

Anyway, here is my post about it:

Pre Cleanse Weight (Gym Scale)

That’s 112 lbs on the gym scale last Thursday

August 12, 2011:

Breakfast I only had these:

Pre Cleanse: Breakfast

a cup of coffee with whole wheat bread with spreads of Filippo Berio’s Sun Dried Tomato Pesto and Tomato and Ricotta Pesto

For lunch:

Pre Cleanse: Lunch

little rice, pansit, 1 small cut of chicken adobo and pinakbet then I had water (a close military personnel celebrated his retirement from the service and had free lunch for the whole hospital staff)

Just before dinner, I had a soothing massage:

That’s with my son, posing while I was having my home service massage.

My dinner:

IMG_2856

That’s grilled fish, brown rice with tomatoes and onions (raw) and a bowl or mushroom soup with veggies.

And as for my sleep, this one I think I failed. I watched movie with my husband until about midnight and I woke up early.

My JUJU Cleanse Challenge to Myself

Posted by Deelytz

I have been reading and thinking about this for weeks. I read tons of bloggers posting about it and I got to be sure that this is really safe before putting myself into it. My right pinky finger helped me decide faster and I’ve decided that doing it for a day wouldn’t hurt.

At first, I was considering of doing it for 3 days but then my husband suggested that I do it 1 day first and if my body responds to it really nicely then maybe I can plan better next year. So here is my plan, if this thing is really nice just like what I read from the all feedback, then by next year, I will do it twice a year. One after Christmas, to cleanse my body from all the binge eating and the other is in June just to prepare myself to all the binging again that can happen from celebrations like my husband’s birthday and the Holidays.

So let me tell you a little bit about the JUJU Cleanse:

table-hand

We don’t just make it convenient for you, but take your existing lifestyle or dietary history into consideration as well by providing you with three cleansing levels. Each of our Juju Cleanse kits contain a day’s worth of detoxifying drinks which keep you nourished while you put aside your spoon and fork for the day and give your digestive system that much needed break.

So give yourself that health kick and get cleansing with Manila’s only juice fast delivery service. For all of you serious about squeezing a little bit of health into your non-stop schedules.

So today is my Pre-Clanse Day and how do I prepare for tomorrow?

At least one day before beginning your cleanse, we suggest you reduce your intake of the following to prepare your body:

1. Animal protein and processed foods
2. Salt, refined sugar and carbs
3. Carbonated sodas, and other caffeinated drinks
4. Alcohol and nicotine

We then recommend that you increase your intake of:

1. Water or herbal teas
2. Fruit and vegetables
3. Sleep

Which Cleanse is right for me?

The JUJU Cleanse has 3 Levels. I was thinking of doing Level 2 for Day 1 and Level 3 for Day 2 but I changed my mind and settled for Level 1. I got really scared of going to the loo several times and end up being too woozy so I think for starters, I will be on Level 1.

apprentice

Level One:

Designed to ease you into the program gently, this cleanse does its best not to overwhelm you with too much green veggie goodness, while still providing you potent juices packed with tremendous enzyme power.

If you have had one too many drinks (again), have been packing on the pounds, or are generally feeling over-worked and fatigued – then this cleanse is the “picker-upper” that you need to jump-start yourself back into a healthier routine.

For more details of JUJU Cleanse, visit their site here.

My Level One JUJU Cleanse will be delivered this afternoon. I will update you of this experience soon.

It’s Her Birthday and Her Raffle for a Good Cause

Posted by Deelytz

My friend Glo has such a big heart and I admire her for doing this raffle.

I would be a hypocrite not to say that I really want that Orange satchel and I wish to win but apart from winning, I also want to help out, Jasmine Mendiola is a nice person and she was so accommodating when I inquired for my wedding, she was my make up artist during my wedding…

with my MUA

That’s me with her circa 2005. People only had the nicest words when they saw me with make up on that special day and I thank her for making me feel pretty on my wedding day. Being a single mom is just hard and I applaud her. I pray for Mio’s health and I also hope they will be successful in helping Lucas.

Please, come and join Glo’s birthday raffle and I thank you so much in advance. Pleas visit her blog here.

Christmas is Just Around the Corner

Posted by Deelytz

As early as today, I am planning my Christmas list. I have some people eliminated on my previous list, I think that I should examine myself and ponder who are “really” the special people in my life. I admit, one of the reasons of doing this is budget constraints and even if we are on a tight budget, I feel that even with the simplest gifts, I want to give back to the very nice people I have around, whether family or friends. Even when I was single, I used to look first for my friends and then of course to my boyfriend (who is now my husband) and I am sure he also took extra effort to find me some really nice girlfriend gifts like what I did when we were just dating and then I spend most of the time thinking of gifts for my family. It takes me more time in thinking of what to give my family because, of course, they are extra special. Anyway, so far I only have a few people on my list right now and I might buy gifts for them online. We’ll see what happens. I need to compute, list down and decide soon before Christmas rush comes in.
