Hong Kong Outfits

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

When my husband and I went on our honeymoon last December 2005 and experienced a 9 degrees Celcius weather in Hong Kong with just a light jacket to use, you can say I got really ready with our recent trip. I got my fall boots from my sister last December, bought 2 pairs of thick opaque stockings because I want to try wearing shorts or skirt even in cold weather and with me who can’t tolerate too much cold, one thick pair is not enough. We experience really hot weather almost all year round and it’s not always that you get to try wearing your coats or your boots so yes, I got carried away. :D

Day 1: Gap warmer / cheap Banana Rep coat from a Tiangge in The Fort / Bench jeans / a 30 USD pair of boots

Day 2: (Wrong Choice of Outfit, because the weather wasn’t too cold) Warmer / Coat / 2 pairs of Lady President stockings / boots

Day 3: (Wrong shoes kasi malamig) Warmer / Causeway tee / Coat / Denim Shorts from GH Tiangge / 2 pairs of stockings / Chucks

Day 4: My most fave outfit, too bad we were so tired to remember to take a photo of my whole outfit. Black halter tank top / Gap long sleeves / Esprit capri jeans / Stockings / Boots

Will definitely miss wearing in layers and of course I miss HK cold weather. Now, I’m back with just strutting a pair jeans and a tee. :D

Very Tightly

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Who says tights are just for ballet dancers? Nowadays tights can be worn everywhere and with anything. Some ladies even have them in colors but I love the classic black opaque or not, basic black just goes with everything…

With Floral Skirt

With Ballet Flats

With The Little Black Dress

With Denim Cutoffs

With Dark Blue Denim

Pretty nice huh?

Almost Summer

Monday, January 18th, 2010

It’s almost Summer and I really need to get some fat burner advice from slim friends so that I can wear skimpy Summer clothes if ever we plan a vacation at the beach. People are looking for possible vacation spots this March and as a matter of fact, I’m thinking of celebrating my birthday in a resort with my family. I hope I can save enough since March is also my son’s birthday. I swear cute swimwear like this from Gap is what I hope I can wear…

But I don’t think I have the guts to wear that bikini, so I would want a boyshort bottom to match the top. :D

Some Fall Collection

Friday, January 15th, 2010

We are going to Hong Kong this last week of January and as I was looking at the weather forecast this week, I think we will be experiencing the almost Spring weather there. Right now, I can see that their warmest this week will be 17 degrees Celsius which is not so cold right? It’s a little colder than a 19 degrees Celsius air conditioned room which is nice. Though the girls in the photos are skinny and I think I will be needing ephedra diet pills to achieve that kind of body, I think the clothes can be pulled out from my closet to achieve similar look…

Do you think every outfit can tolerate the 17 degrees weather? I don’t think so. :D

Trends on 2010

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

I had a nice chat with my male friend last night about everything under the sun but I was lost when he started talking about Mopar performance parts that he discovered online, I had to excuse myself and google about it so I can understand what he was talking about. I had to admit, it looks very promising and ideal especially he has a Jeep. Oh aside from these automotive thingies, we also talked about the trends this coming 2010 and as much as we tried hard predicting it was way out of the list we found online.

Mixed Prints
Afraid your ikat will clash with your plaids or stripes will upset your florals? Well, fear not, for this season anything goes. Mix and match your most colorful pieces and let your imagination run free.

Red Hot Lips
There were crimson-stained moues aplenty on the runway. The shocking yet sexy shade screamed old-world style for models everywhere from Dior to Bottega Veneta.

Designer Denim
Blue-jean baby. Broken-in jeans were shown with élan in New York (Ralph Lauren doing it distressed), Milan (D&G mastering the look), and Paris (Stella McCartney showing the fabric in several skirt styles). We’re even seeing acid wash make a return — hello, ’80s.

Nautical Stripes
Get in line with spring’s most linear look: classic stripes. Blue and white are best, but you can pull off the Breton-inspired trend with any color combo.

In Love with Kamiseta

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

I was supposed to look for AC filters because we need some at home, we need to replace our filters at home before summer starts early next year but I kept on window shopping online. I’m especially hovering the Kamiseta site in particular. Everyday we pass the North bound of C5 to go home and I see this billboard near Market! Market!. We never get to window shop in the mall when we go out because we always tag along our son who always want to go straight to Timezone but last Sunday we went to Market! Market! early and I went to Kamiseta just to ask about the top and the ring…

I asked, both are already out of stock! How depressing! The saleslady is not quite sure if some stocks will come, I guess I have to visit Kamiseta regularly, just in case. :D

C’mon Camo

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

I’ve been organizing and revamping my closet these days. In a few months I will be 33! I need to sort my stuff, get rid of those not so nice clothes and keep they appropriate items for my age. I found a few items that I still love from the past, the thing is I can’t fit to most of the casual clothes I still want to wear, I really need a fat burner so that I can fit in them before they get too old to wear. Anyway, I know, I want to be a little formal and girly when it comes to clothes now that I will be hitting the double 3 soon but I saw this camo pants from Gap that I want to buy so I can have my own camo like my boys…

ossibly our most authentic military-inspired pant, the cargo features a total of 11 pockets, twill accents throughout, and topstitching behind the knees for full-on military style. Soften the look with an easy refined blazer, cuffed legs, and a gorgeous shoe.

Me likey! :D

Winter Wonderland

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

I so wish we have Winter. Not the too much snow part, just about 5 degrees Celcius coldness enough to make a fashion statement with boots and coats. Since I’m living in a tropical country, the nearest place I can feel winter is in Hong Kong which is only a little less 2 hours flight from Manila, imagine that? Anyway, one of the stores in HK has cheap and great items for winter. Let me share my some of my faves. Not that I will fit into all of them, I know I will be needing slimming pills if I want to do so. Anyway, on with the clothes…

Getting the Core for Kors

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

Who doesn’t know Michael Kors? Much more his designs? He has awesome array of items for ever fashionista out there from outwear to accessories. I love his watches, and since I’m a watch lover, of course I want one in the future. He has great taste in fashion that even a piece of glove can be an accent to an outfit. I actually am browsing at his creations and I found this pretty neat looks that I like…

Pretty talented huh?

Going Bananas for Banana Rep

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

I love Banana Republic style. I find it classy and very basic, something that I can possible wear because basically, it’s not over powering and so eye catching yet very posh. Have you visited their latest collection? I just did and saw some gorgeous items on their online racks…

Love the overall look!

Definitely something you can wear in a tropical country during cold weather.

Very classic and I love the color too.

Lovely black.

I wish I can stumble upon items on clearance when I get to US in the future because right now all I can do is drool, they are a little pricey for me. :D
