Cold Turkey

Posted by Deelytz

A friend told me that her dad told her husband that you can’t quit smoking unless you do cold turkey. I believe that myself. I don’t think you will ever quit if you do it slowly. You have to be determined and quit it totally in an instant. Like my thinking of quitting eating of beef, I know I should just stop instantly which is right now, I’m not so ready yet. Anyway, my friend’s hubby uses e cigarette once in awhile especially when he is with their kids…

I never thought these things can be so real. Wow. For a non smoker like me, I will see these and I will think they are actually real cigarettes. I think this is pretty awesome for smokers who really will do cold turkey!

Pulse Oximeters at Home

Posted by Deelytz

I remember when I was in the hospital. I had to undergo blood transfusion, they had to monitor mu pulse all the time. It was very nerve wracking when you hear those warning sounds in the hospitals. Pulse oximeters are everywhere but only a few patients including me use it. I had chest pains and was panting like crazy even if I’m just lying in bed, it was terrible, I thought I will die. Anyway, my supervisor asked me to look for pulse oximeters that are portable, the ones which you can bring home, mine in the hospital was huge and with a long wire, to consume space, I saw online like this…

We will be getting a few of these and since our hospital is quite small, about 10 pieces is enough.

Welcome 2010

Posted by Deelytz

I’m back to my old job today after an extended Holiday yesterday because my son’s Nanny just arrived from her vacation in the afternoon. This blog became a shopping blog already and since I vowed to save more this new year, nothing will stop me from window shopping online so as usual I will be posting about shopping, will do my best to share the latest promos and events if anyone of you are still interested. As you can see, spending will stop but me being a girl won’t and nothing will stop me from getting some eye candies. Wish me luck? Nah! I’m determined and I will make it happen. 2010 is the year of making things happen. In God, we trust! ;)

Please Give My Blogging Mojo Back

Posted by Deelytz

The title of this post says it all. :D I love this blog, anything about shopping, I just L-O-V-E! But I’ve been slacking lately and I really don’t like it. I’m still online almost 8 hours a day but darn! I get tired easily. I always tell myself that I will be blogging after I put my son to sleep but I just surf and surf finding great sites like that of phentermine then more shopping sites and then after reading reviews and window shopping, I find myself, wanting to hit the bed fast without finishing most of the important stuff. I wish to finish more stuff before the Holiday rush really rushes here, Christmas is just around the corner and I want more items stricken on my list before anything else.

Random Updates

Posted by Deelytz

It’s quite a while that I did an update here. I’ve been busy window shopping online that I forgot I do this here. It’s Christmas you know and this shopaholic has a very good reason to shop but thanks to my limited budget it all boils down to just window shopping almost everyday when I’m bored at work. Thanks to the internet, I get some eye candies for free. Anyway here are my updates…

  • My weight loss diet is doing okay. I don’t think I’m doing a BIG improvement since I stopped running for a month and just started again 2 weeks ago but I did a HUGE step by just eating oatmeal during the morning and a cup of soya or a fruit at night. So far, for 2 weeks now, I’m surviving. Wish me more luck!
  • I’m now addicted to Twilight. I know! I’m a late bloomer to the Twilight Saga. New Moon the movie has to be shown in order for me to start reading my Twilight Saga E-books. Corny me.
  • I’m missing Wentworth badly. Yeah, I need to say that aloud!
  • I’m now obsessed in downloading MP3s and since the husband isn’t using the iPod I gave him, I’m trying to fill it with the songs I love to listen and use it especially during my spins.
  • I’m now using a new beauty regimen c/o a very concerned friend online. I got the test kit for free too. Bless her!
  • I’m running outdoors now. Since my 2 races, I felt that running outdoors is more fun though treadmills can be very useful especially during the rainy days. Where do I go for a spin? In the grandstand oval at Camp Aguinaldo, where I work.
  • I need to revamp my wardrobe. I don’t know when? I don’t know how? And for how much? But I will have to do that maybe late next year. Moolah! I need moolah!
  • What else?
  • Oh yeah! Had my hair rebonded again! :D

Airsoft Thingie

Posted by Deelytz

I can’t believe my husband had me browsing airsoft rifle for him and his friends at work. He was looking at ZephyrAirsoft.com and I can’t believe how many Airsoft and Airgun / BB Gun Gear there are in the market and I was surprised that they are affordable. My husband is eyeing a few things though I wish he sticks to just mountain biking as his hobby but he is putting much interest in this it’s driving me nuts! He wants me to compare 2 rifles and he asked me for comments and suggestions. What do I know? I have no interest in owning one and I never had interest of learning to hold a gun even if I grew up in a military environment. He is thinking whether to get an entry level type of machine (as I call it) or maybe get a more advanced rifle. I say he gets the entry level and the cheapest, I don;t want him spending on something he’s just going to try. What do you think?

Just Rambling

Posted by Deelytz

There are several thoughts on my mind but I just couldn’t formulate a sensible post so I thought of just to ramble and get these out of my head.

On Cigars

My boss who smokes was talking to a colleague yesterday about Rocky Patel vintage cigars and I have no clue about what they are talking about. I never had the chance to try cigars and most men I knew who tried one said it is so different from cigarettes. I have no plans in trying one soon, only if maybe my husband will and he will let me then maybe I will try it too.

On Health

I read a sad blog just this morning. About my make up artist during my wedding and her son having leukemia. It’s the saddest thing to see your son sick, much more with a deadly disease. Frankly speaking, I hate reading or hearing something like this, it gets me paranoid. I myself, is having aches on my body and all the negatives thoughts are coming in my head, I hate how negative I think.

On Family Matters

I’m just going to the motions and I can’t even blog about it. Oh darn!

On Marriage

It’s a roller coaster ride, what can I say. Still, I’m happy that he is sticking beside me. Until when, oh well. HAHA. Well, as of today, I’m happy, that’s all I can say.

On Friends

I have an ass kicking best friend who’s been with me through thick and thin, and now that we’re both married, I’m just happier that we became closer! Awesome lady, I tell you! And with my online friends? Amazing people. I’m just glad I met them. Army brats? Oh they are pretty awesome, we have this upcoming transaction, thanks to our businesswoman friend, we might have a great paying commission on the way. Yay!

On Shopping

I’m just thankful, my husband understands me. It’s my outlet. My stress release. I finally stopped for now, I need to save for our upcoming trip (more shopping eh?) and I have bills to pay as well. Until July? Then I will be shopping again with my sister and SIL in the US. Great huh?!?

On Losing Weight

I’m getting there. Slowly but surely! ;)

How To Get More Out Of Life

Posted by Deelytz

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. Record your late nights shows and get more sleep.
4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement ‘My purpose is to____ today.’
5. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
6. Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than you did in 2007.
7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Dream more while you are awake.
9. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
10. De-clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
11. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past,
negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime..
13. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid.
14. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
15. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
16. Don’t take yourself so seriously.. No one else does.
17. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree…
18. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
19. Burn the candles, use the nice bed sheets, don’t save it for a special occasion because everyday is special.
20. What other people think of you is none of your business.
21. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will.
22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
23.. The best is yet to come.
24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
25. Enjoy the ride.

Quote for the Day

Posted by Deelytz

We need to let go of things that tie us down or keep us from pursuing greater things or dream. These include friends who are no good, material things that add clutter to our mind, useless wants and yes, fear. Oftentimes, it is the fear of the unknown that holds people back. But how can we know what’s ahead when we do not take one step towards knowing it?
