Ang aking anak na wala sa mood magpakuha ng litrato sa akin ng araw na iyon. Kalimitan ay gustong gusto niyang magpakuha ng litrato, marunong ngumiti at mag-pose sa harap ng camera. Ngunit minsan may mga araw rin na ayaw nya magpakuha, kaya makikitang tumatakbo siya palayo sa akin o kaya ay iiyak tulad ng nasa larawan.

This is my son who wasn’t in the mood for a picture that day. Most of the time he loves his photo being taken, he knows how to smile and pose in front of the camera. But sometimes there are days that he doesn’t like that, he will run away from me or cry like that in the picture.

I will be giving out prizes for a cause. My SIL has a sister who just entered a convent last June. I didn’t blog about her but I am very amazed of her story and how God called her to be of His service. It is really nice that I know her too. I feel really blessed. Anyway, she is asking for my help and I am asking your help as well.

I need layouts for Christmas cards that has the Holy Family in it. No Santa Claus or any of those kind, I want religious photos. Don’t worry about what to write inside, what I need you to submit is the layouts for the front page of the card. I think 5R will be okay for it’s size, don’t you think? Anyway, my husband will chose the winners, 2 grand prizes, each will get $10 to their paypal account and 3 will get consolation prizes of $5 each. I will send the winner pages to the the convent. They will sell the cards for Christmas and the earnings will help them run the convent and help other people who are in need. I will run this contest until September 3, my husband’s birthday and announcement of winner will be on the next day. You can email me your layouts. Thanks so much!

1. When you see a man and woman walking together, do you automatically see them as ‘a couple’?
~ Nope. I don’t see that unless I see them all mushy and sweet to each other.

2. Is it always okay to walk along minding your own business, not bothering anyone?
~ Yeah. I usually am walking on that road. Some people say that I’m too numb of things around me but I just practice that because I don’t want people going through my life that much as well.

3. Which foods that you believe are bad for you that you stubbornly refuse to stop eating?
~ Too much fat and oil. Oh not to mention, sweet, I don’t have sweet tooth but when you drag me to Starbucks? I will never refuse.

4. How would you handle these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights?
~I love the rain by the way but the rest? I will be furious, disoriented and sweaty. I sweat a lot when I’m nervous, come to think of it even if I’m not nervous. LOL. I just can’t handle unexpected stuff like these.

5. Do you easily adopt habits or phrases from the people around you?
~ Not really. But when I see great handwriting, I tend to copy it. Weird huh?

6. What do you think of this situation?
“In a checkout line at a store, someone is angrily yelling at the cashier because she’s waiting for minutes already. A long line of people are behind them with no other checkout line available. Does the angry person have a right to be yelling?”
~ Definitely no. I will definitely think, “Get over it lady, move on, time is precious!”

7.How often are you greeted by strangers in a friendly manner while walking around in public?
~ Not so often. Filipinos are naturally shy.

8. What do you think of Crocs?
~ They are too expensive. But I will still buy them anyway… I want one and maybe I will buy one before Christmas.

9. How long does it take you to get ready to go out?
~ It usually take me an hour.

10. What kind of accent do you find attractive?
~ People who speak French are cool.

The seller from ebay just emailed mo today saying that the Vivitar Flash has just been shipped today and by 15 working days most likely I will get the flash already. Yay! Exciting… So basically this tells me that within 15 days the Nikon D50 (my nikkie) should be fixed already. If only I can find the time to go over to San Francisco Del Monte or anyone of you knows a service center that handles Nikon pretty well? Please leave a message in my cbox and I will get to you… More updates on my shopping escapade…

I already posted this here and I think it is still nice to post it again for Litratong Pinoy. I want to show everybody that even poor people still dream, they work hard to earn and in the corner they pray and still have faith in God Almighty. I wonder what are his wishes? My wish for him and to our other brothers who are in need is to overcome poverty.

I know, our Nikon D50 or Nikkie to me is not functioning quite good these days, thanks to me who left her in the car to experience the scorching heat. I couldn’t drag my husband to San Francisco Del Monte Quezon City just to have it fixed, it’s my fault and I have to wait until we have the time to really go there for her repair. But still it won’t stop me from searching for my so wanted flash and flash diffuser. I’m a child mode user all the time, with my son as my favorite subject and that mode has the auto flash. I usually take indoor photos with him and it almost always needs flash for good lighting. I hate the shadows, the flash creates and the only remedy is a good set of flash and flash diffuser to work the magic. I can’t afford Nikkon flashes so the husband searched and found this…

We’ve read reviews and I am amazed of all the raves it received and I’m just too excited to order this from this guy from Hong Kong in ebay. We convo him awhile ago and hopefully he replies soon and can give me good news.

I will surely have a hard time learning all about it since external flash would be so much different from the built in flash that my Nikkie has but I am open to that. An early Christmas gift for myself!!! Exciting!!!

I have been experimenting some photos, especially the blurred and grainy photos that I have in my EHD that are almost saying hi to the trash bin. I find them really nice photos except that they’re a bit blurry or grainy. I read somewhere that texturizing it might help so I tried and somehow I love the output. Putting textures on photographs give it a vintage feel and somehow give you the impression that it is on a canvass.

I tried converting it to Black and White using Itty Bitty light black and white action and I also like the output but the topic is texture so…

Using 2 textures in different opacity from PS CS4, this is what I got. Nice feel and very vintage. I know it is not yet perfect, I still need to experiment with different textures but like they said, practice makes it perfect. And here’s another textured photo sample for you guys…

I’ve finally decided to have my pages printed one by one if there is extra budget. Just last week I had 11 pages printed and was actually happy with it. Thanks to my ever reliable favorite printing store, FANS. I had it printed in no time.
