New Notebook

Posted by Deelytz

I am thinking a new laptop. Mine is a bit old already and I’m feeling pains when I use it. A friend told me it might be Carpel Tunnel Syndrome that even scared me more. The husband suggested buying a Sony Vaio, though I haven’t decided yet, I would want to keep my options open and try new brands. Anyway, the Sony looks promising…

I want the white one actually. I have to more about this laptop before I take the plunge. I’m so used to my laptop, I’m not sure if I get used to a new brand. We’ll see. ;)

Aeropostale Graphic Tees

Posted by Deelytz

A high school friend gave me 2 tees from Aerospostale and handed it to my BF Mitch to give it to me, thanks Eileen by the way, I really love it. I love the fit of the tee to my body, it’s a thin cotton, very lightweight tee with nice graphic design. I wore the blue one already which is exactly this one…

Hippie Chick Graphic T, nice right? It fits me well too so I want to buy a few more when I go to the US next year and visit it’s outlet. See some of my choices…

Fleur-de-lis Graphic T

Hippie Chick Graphic T

Great choices huh? Well, those are what I prefer anyway. ;)

September Boy

Posted by Deelytz

He is a Virgo, I think he’s one amazing guy, very mabait though some flaws here and there, I still think he’s one of the few gentlemen left on Earth.

My husband is celebrating his 31st birthday this September and I am running out of ideas of what to give him, last year, I think I gave him an ipod that he loves from all the ipods I browsed online. Giving him a gadget is hard nowadays since we are saving for a vacation next year but still I want to give him something he can open on his special day no matter how cheap it is, it’s the thought that counts anyway. He actually told me no more gifts since he bought a new bike frame and just asked me to cook for him, I have yet to list the menu since we are on a tight budget. I suggested a date too, we’ll see if we can leave the boy for hours. I took 2 days leave already, his birthday is on the 3rd and it’s a Thursday so I also took the next day off so I can just spend the long weekend with the birthday celebrant and our son. He told me he’s thinking of us watching at iMax. I don’t want to expect if this will push through, because as we all know plans can change up to the last minute.

Just Rambling

Posted by Deelytz

There are several thoughts on my mind but I just couldn’t formulate a sensible post so I thought of just to ramble and get these out of my head.

On Cigars

My boss who smokes was talking to a colleague yesterday about Rocky Patel vintage cigars and I have no clue about what they are talking about. I never had the chance to try cigars and most men I knew who tried one said it is so different from cigarettes. I have no plans in trying one soon, only if maybe my husband will and he will let me then maybe I will try it too.

On Health

I read a sad blog just this morning. About my make up artist during my wedding and her son having leukemia. It’s the saddest thing to see your son sick, much more with a deadly disease. Frankly speaking, I hate reading or hearing something like this, it gets me paranoid. I myself, is having aches on my body and all the negatives thoughts are coming in my head, I hate how negative I think.

On Family Matters

I’m just going to the motions and I can’t even blog about it. Oh darn!

On Marriage

It’s a roller coaster ride, what can I say. Still, I’m happy that he is sticking beside me. Until when, oh well. HAHA. Well, as of today, I’m happy, that’s all I can say.

On Friends

I have an ass kicking best friend who’s been with me through thick and thin, and now that we’re both married, I’m just happier that we became closer! Awesome lady, I tell you! And with my online friends? Amazing people. I’m just glad I met them. Army brats? Oh they are pretty awesome, we have this upcoming transaction, thanks to our businesswoman friend, we might have a great paying commission on the way. Yay!

On Shopping

I’m just thankful, my husband understands me. It’s my outlet. My stress release. I finally stopped for now, I need to save for our upcoming trip (more shopping eh?) and I have bills to pay as well. Until July? Then I will be shopping again with my sister and SIL in the US. Great huh?!?

On Losing Weight

I’m getting there. Slowly but surely! ;)

Colorful Notebooks

Posted by Deelytz

My notebook where I wrote my bills, reminders, to do list, etc. is actually running out of pages and I plan to buy a new one for next year. So now that I have so much free time, I’ve decided to browse at Etsy for some cute journals but of course I’m not buying one since I’m thinking of putting it on my wish list for Christmas… I hope somebody gives me one beautiful notebook to use for next year! Look at my cute finds…

Butterflies Print - Screenprinted Journal $8

Mixed Paper Journal $14

Shamrock Moleskine Pocket Notebook $10

But I’ve also seen a lot of pretty small spring-less notebooks in Fully Booked so maybe I will just ask my “Mommy” to buy me one from there. ;)

Wedding in Beaches

Posted by Deelytz

It seems that this year is not a year for weddings for people I know. Well, most of my friends are already married so it maybe one of the reasons. I remember when destination weddings were a popular option for brides and grooms. Popular destinations include Tagaytay, Baguio and of course, pristine beaches. I stumbled across the launch of a new line of hotels across Riviera Maya along the Caribbean and was surprised that a kid and family-friendly resort has been opened too. It is called the Azul Blue Beach resort. It will be wishful thinking on my end but I hope we can take our little family there someday.

How To Get More Out Of Life

Posted by Deelytz

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. Record your late nights shows and get more sleep.
4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement ‘My purpose is to____ today.’
5. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
6. Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than you did in 2007.
7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Dream more while you are awake.
9. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
10. De-clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
11. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past,
negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime..
13. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid.
14. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
15. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
16. Don’t take yourself so seriously.. No one else does.
17. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree…
18. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
19. Burn the candles, use the nice bed sheets, don’t save it for a special occasion because everyday is special.
20. What other people think of you is none of your business.
21. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will.
22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
23.. The best is yet to come.
24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
25. Enjoy the ride.

Learning Beauty

Posted by Deelytz

I heard from a friend that she actually wants to learn doing hair and make up. She loves make up and wants to take a step further about it. She wants to put her interest to earning bucks which I think is a brilliant plan. Not everybody gets the opportunity to earn from what they love to do. She is actually looking for schools and I told her about Regency, beauty school indianapolis which is actually expanding. It has a growing network of campuses and placement relationships, from salons to cruise ships and runways. Graduates from Regency Beauty are recognized and sought after throughout the United States. I wish my friend good luck and I hope she fulfills her dreaming of becoming a known professional make up artist.
