Interesting Fact

Posted by Deelytz

I attended a very interesting talk about Medical Marijuana that got me more interested as a medical professional especially that one of the diseases it helps cure is related to my profession, Glaucoma. I browsed online and saw a very helpful free online resource that talks about the benefits of marijuana in the medical field. MedicalMarijuanaGroup.com discussed the helpful uses in various cases such as Multiple Sclerosis, Glaucoma, severe pain, nausea and a lot more. Since we all know that marijuana is popular in the bad aspect of addiction, there are so many gray areas that need to be discussed and people should realize that there are good uses of marijuana. I believe that knowledge is power and being aware will benefit not only me but my patients.

Weight Gain Linked to Lack of Sleep

Posted by Deelytz

Yeah, it’s almost midnight and I’m still awake, I should be sleeping after reading this article that I’m about to share to you but I need to finish a few more tasks before going offline. Anyway, here are some excerpts…

Having a hard time losing weight? Try getting a better night’s sleep.

Women who sleep five hours or less per night weigh more on average than those who sleep 7 hours, according to a study presented at the American Thoracic Society International Conference this week.

The study found that women who slept for five hours per night were 32 percent more likely to experience major weight gain (defined as an increase of 33 pounds or more) and 15 percent more likely to become obese over the course of the 16-year study compared with women who slept seven hours.

Women who slept for six hours were 12 percent more likely to have major weight gain and six percent more likely to become obese compared with women who slept 7 hours a night.

iPod Shuffle

It’s so cute. I actually want one to use every time I go for a spin. Watching television in the gym sometimes bores me. When I hit the treadmill, the television is usually turned on but sometimes I don’t like what’s on it, I get distracted. And now that I’m assigned to a new hospital and will hit a new gym every Tuesdays and Thursdays, I have no idea if they have television so as not to get bored. My iPhone is too heavy to carry on a treadmill. I wonder how much is it? I want either the pink or this blue in the picture.

Airsoft Thingie

Posted by Deelytz

I can’t believe my husband had me browsing airsoft rifle for him and his friends at work. He was looking at ZephyrAirsoft.com and I can’t believe how many Airsoft and Airgun / BB Gun Gear there are in the market and I was surprised that they are affordable. My husband is eyeing a few things though I wish he sticks to just mountain biking as his hobby but he is putting much interest in this it’s driving me nuts! He wants me to compare 2 rifles and he asked me for comments and suggestions. What do I know? I have no interest in owning one and I never had interest of learning to hold a gun even if I grew up in a military environment. He is thinking whether to get an entry level type of machine (as I call it) or maybe get a more advanced rifle. I say he gets the entry level and the cheapest, I don;t want him spending on something he’s just going to try. What do you think?

My Gap tops came in today with my ON loots for my boys and our nephews. Advance shopping for Christmas.

The loots are still with my friend Kathy. Everything came in a box and was shipped to her from our friend Glo who is in Boston. We need to schedule our meet up. I’m so excited. I wonder if I bought the right size of shoes for my son, that looks too big for a 2 year old. HAHA.

Getting Paid while Being Mobile

Posted by Deelytz

I have a friend who has been going around places because of work and she is having problems because she doesn’t have the Auto Allowance that she needs to get her by. She’s been in the company for almost 2 years now and with all the prices going up now and her salary only increased so little in those years, she’s thinking if she’s making the right decision. What’s okay about this situation is that she’s still single and only supports herself, though she lives with her parents, her parents don’t obliged her to share with the expenses at home but she told me she can’t save much because the money that should have been added to her little savings goes to gasoline. So, I mentioned to her CRS, Corporate Reimbursement Services, Inc. a consulting firm that helps company with mobile employees to get vehicle reimbursement programs in flexible and customized terms. A lot of companies don’t have the idea that there is such a firm that caters to this dilemma and CRS is a very reliable firm that can help them so that employees in their company won’t have problems about this and that their employees will stick with them if given such compromising programs that they can offer. I suggested she opens this up on her next meeting so everybody will be happy. Quitting her job is not the solution anymore because finding another will be very hard, why not introduce CRS to the bosses to help the company and of course, the mobile employees like her.

New Running Shoes

Posted by Deelytz

I’m looking for a better running shoes which I can wear every time I go for a spin in the gym. My fake pair of running shoes is taking a toll on me and I think it’s doing something bad on my knees and ankles because I feel tiny pain on them every time I’m on the treadmill. If I don’t do anything I might hurt my knees and feet very bad. Have you heard of the Skechers Shape ups? I was intrigued with the reviews and I’m actually considering of getting one for my work outs.

Skechers Shape-ups Shoes have the following benefits:

  • Improves posture
  • Strengthens the back
  • Firms buttocks mucsles
  • Reduces cellulite and tones thighs
  • Firms calf muscles
  • Improves blood circulation
  • Tightens abdominal muscles

Shape-ups are not like other athletic shoes.  This is a new way to walk and exercise.  As with any new exercise, start with moderation.  We recommend 25 to 45 minutes (based on your strength and existing exercise plan) on your first two days.  Increase your walking time in Shape-ups in 5 to 10 minute increments, depending on your comfort level and strength.

I’m really convinced that I should get a pair for myself. I believe I found my right gym shoes.

New Eye Candy

Posted by Deelytz

I’m loving Asian Fashion. But look at the models, they are so thin… I used to have a body built like them but that was ages ago! I was 18 then and I would need a very good set of weight loss pill to maybe have that body again. Though I’m doing the conservative way, I kinda accepted the fact that I will no longer have that 100 lbs weight again. Losing just 13 lbs is my aim today and I am giving myself 6 months or so to lose that small amount. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that after a few months I hope I will also look good on these…

Great finds huh? ;)
