I am spending my long weekend at home. My husband has an ankle injury from playing basketball last Thursday and he couldn’t walk too long so malling is never an option. I had plans listed for this long weekend but everything was cancelled because of it so here I am blogging my heart out to kill boredom while my boys are watching movies beside me. My friend on the other hand YMed me last night and told me that her weekend is just job searching all the way looking for nice Network Architect Jobs she can find because she has plans of leaving her current job. I find it wise. She has been working her butt off with this current job and no promotion for her, some of her colleagues even took credit to some works she did. I could never work in a company where colleagues are mostly cheaters. I hope she finds a better job because nice women like her deserves better. Anyway, I might be meeting her for coffee tomorrow afternoon, I will have time to myself tomorrow. Yey!

That’s me with her circa 2005. People only had the nicest words when they saw me with make up on that special day and I thank her for making me feel pretty on my wedding day. Being a single mom is just hard and I applaud her. I pray for Mio’s health and I also hope they will be successful in helping Lucas.

A friend of mine is looking for suboxone treatment detox centers and she asked me about it during our yahoo messaging conversations.I actually don’t have any idea of what she is talking about until I researched about it online. So, apparently Suboxone is the latest scientific method of comfortable opiate detox. It is a tablet that easily dissolves under the tongue. It gives the brain something similar to what opiate does but without the dangers of the drug. Her brother is addicted to opiate and they are looking for ways to help him get better. They found a really nice place in Malibu where her brother can recover. They are currently living in Georgia and Florida is not so far away. They already planned everything so they can support their family member even when they are miles away from him. I wish her family good luck, especially her brother.

Summer is in the air. Since we are living in a tropical country, getting a tan is really easy but the sun can be cruel these days and getting a sunburn is not safe anymore. A friend of mine who has a very white skin is going to Boracay next month and she is very conscious of her very white skin so she wants to get a tan and she is actually looking for the best tanning lotion around. She already tried a tanning lotion before she was not happy with the results. Anyway, speaking of Summer, I also helped her find nice swimwear and I found really cute ones from Gap.

I absent myself from work and I don’t think I can do a lot this week because I am sore all over, must be the virus. I had my blood test and it said I have viral influenza so I need rest but since I am not used to sleeping all day, what I did yesterday was just lay down and watch movies until my friend of mine YMed me to chat for a few minutes and she was talking alien for a bit talking about ordis and other computer related stuff that I haven’t heard of. Anyway, after I let her explain bits of it, I had to end our conversation, I got a headache, maybe from thinking too much of what she was explaining, she had to laugh when I told her that. Now, I am missing her dearly, she is far away and I haven’t seen her in ages.

A friend at work is selling accessories and I am really tempted to buy from her on a Monday. I actually have a belief not to start my work week purchasing stuff or I will be spending the whole week. Oh well, I think it was a great reason not to spend money but her accessories are really pretty. She made it herself and I admire her artistry. She just buys jewelry making supplies and makes everything during her free time and since her kids are all grown up now, she has time during the weekends too. She told me it is a very lucrative small business but she has to be sure her stuff are all posted online as well so that it can be bought in no time. So far she is doing really well and I bet she will come a long way, her creativity is her bed and butter.

Since I am always online, a friend asked me to compare term life insurance quotes because she and her husband are planning to get a new one next year. I think with the new year comes so much planning and thinking of the future. Some plans are done but most of the time others remain planned. Like them, my husband and I are doing a lot of planning and hopefully more will be done. A really nice blessing was given to me this week and I am really glad about it. My friend was happy for me when I told her about it and it’s really nice to have friends like her whom I can say just about everything.

A friend of mine is recently diagnosed with Vertigo and it’s stress related. I have vertigo too but unlike her mine is because of my inner ear, which has little defect and sometimes it has a ringing sound followed by a little dizziness but sometimes it’s too severe that I have to be rushed in the hospital. That friend of mine has a different case, I think her balance has something to do with stress and depression, her doctor even told her to get some depression treatment and therapy to control her emotions and relieve her mind from stress so she will not suffer from vertigo anymore. The lifestyle we have now can trigger so many health risks like hers. I hope she realizes that her health is far more important than earning so much money only to spend it in a hospital.

I really wanted to treat a close friend and get her some lady gaga tickets. She loves Lady Gaga and she became a huge fan when Lady Gaga’s single Paparazzi came out. She bought every album and she even has videos stored in her laptop. I am not really a fan but I also like some of her songs. Anyway, so I told her that I will buy her 2 tickets but she knows I am saving up for my son’s education through my sideline and told her that she will do me a huge favor if I just limit my shopping and save more because she told me that what I do is hard work and that I should really save up from it. A true friend huh? So what I did is just asked one of our friends who is with her in California a favor to buy something really special for our friend on her birthday.
