New Rules in the Camp
I work in a camp. I thought that when my father retires from the Army, I will stop going inside camps but I was wrong. Since I work for the Armed Forces, I always get in and out the camp and almost every month there are new rules, new governance comes new rules and regulations and that includes traffic regulations inside the camp. Speed limit of 30 kilometers is almost applied everywhere and Military Policemen hold radars everywhere, we might as well buy one of those radar detectors to help us detect if we are monitored by a radar and reduce our car’s speed before being ticketed for speeding. They are also implementing the stop sign rule and you really have to stop when you see a stop sign just like in the States and of course, respect the pedestrians who are crossing on pedestrian lanes. Though most people complain about it, well because they are not so used of strict traffic rules, I for one love the idea, it feels like even inside the camp, people are disciplined. I hope this won’t be just implemented just inside the camp, so wishful thinking but I hope traffic rules in the Philippines can someday be strictly implemented too.
