How to Hang and Fold Dry Clothes
Posted by Deelytz
When I step in a clothing store, I am always amazed of how they put together clothing displays that will capture each costumer even if they are just plainly hanging on a rack. We may not know it but one way of taking care of our clothes is knowing how to hang or fold them the right way. Here are a few tips to help you start learning the right way:
- Remember to store woolen knit clothing in drawers.
- For bottoms, especially your trousers, the right type of hanger is the clamp type that also has a waistband clip.
- For blazers, leather jackets etc, you should look out for heavy wooden hangers that will give these types of clothing support.
- As much as possible, avoid piling up T-shirts, because they might spoil the fold and disturb the creases.
- Dressy shirts should be hung properly on padded clothing hangers so you will care for the shape of the shirt and try not to fold them.
- Gowns and formal wears should be hung in elongated racks of cabinets. Protect the bottom part and as much as possible always use a clothing cover.
I know a person who hangs clothes in the closet even if it’s not that dry. That is definitely a no-no because the clothes will stink and can produce molds, very unsanitary.
